The Círculo de la Unión was founded in 1932 on the model of English business clubs.

The name “Círculo de la Unión” expresses the spirit of the institution, which is called to bring together prominent personalities from industry, commerce, literature, art and politics.

Since its foundation, its purpose has been to bring together the most representative representatives of La Paz society, to promote its growth and to provide a place of rest and meeting for the exchange of ideas, projects and concerns.
