VINVOYAGE
VINVOYAGE was born out of a passion for wine, special encounters and inspiring moments of indulgence – an event series that brings the people behind exceptional wines to the Airport Club, creating a space for enjoyment and personal interaction.
To kick off VINVOYAGE – The World in a Glass, we’ll be taking you on a journey from Rheinhessen to South Africa. The journey begins the moment you arrive: in our Runway room, your gaze sweeps across the runway at Frankfurt Airport. Whilst aeroplanes take off outside bound for destinations all over the world, we’ll take you on a wine journey from Rheinhessen to the Cape – without ever taking off ourselves. An exquisite three-course menu from the kitchen of the Airport Club Frankfurt, perfectly paired with the wines, rounds off the experience.

Nadja Walter, a Lifetime Member of the Airport Club Frankfurt and a passionate wine lover, is the initiator of our new series of events and culinary delights, VINVOYAGE. With her enthusiasm for wine and her personal contacts, she forges links with winemakers and the people behind exceptional wines.
Frank Kämmer is accompanying the tour as a Master Sommelier. This internationally renowned wine expert has published numerous books and writes for publications including *Vinum Weinguide*, *Feinschmecker* and *WeinWisser*. Together with Dr Lindfeld, he founded THE WINEMBASSY.
Carolin Spanier-Gillot is one of Rheinhessen’s most successful female winemakers and, together with her husband Hans Oliver Spanier, – a winemaker through and through – runs the Kühling-Gillot and Battenfeld-Spanier estates. Together, they demonstrate just how varied the flavours of Rheinhessen can be: from the distinctive spiciness of the Roter Hang to the mineral character of the limestone soils.
Dr. Christian Lindfeld, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at 4G Wines, takes us on a journey through the world of South African wine. He shares the vision behind the red wines from the Cape, including the powerful yet elegant flagship G. and THE ECHO OF G.
Look forward to meeting the people behind the wines in person, hearing their stories and tasting the wines together with them. We look forward to the first leg of VINVOYAGE with you!
